During Wealthsimple’s infancy, it was determined that a new office headquarters was key to its brand, target clientele, and growth. The company wanted a creative workplace with defining qualities in Toronto’s buzzing downtown west neighborhood. A truly unique building and location were minimum requirements and extremely hard to land in an exceptionally tight leasing market.
WeWork
WeWork, one of the world’s largest co-working office platforms, has experienced explosive growth since bursting on the market in 2010. When Fraser caught wind of this up-and-coming company and how it was disrupting the way office space is used and re-leased, he immediately saw an opportunity for the business in Toronto.
